THE SACRED BLADE

  An Athame-Making Residential Intensive Weekend with Falcon River​

  At a private home in South Central Michigan

  Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday, August 28-30, 2026

 

The weekend runs from 7pm Friday evening, 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday at our home 25 minutes south of Lansing, Michigan.

 

Make your own athame! Working in sacred space, you will craft your own sacred blade. We will be using hand forged blade blanks made especially for these workshop by a goddess-centered woman. You will polish the blade and craft the handle from an assortment of woods, join the handle to the blade, and create the leather sheath. Along the way you will also learn the lore of the athame and deepen your relationship with sacred fire….

 

Due to the work intensive nature of this event this residential intensive is strictly limited to five participants on a first-come basis.

 

 This residential workshop is being offered to women who have completed Feminist Witchcraft in the Dianic Tradition (or equivalent with another ToD Grove instructor). No experience necessary.  

 

The cost for the weekend is $500 and includes:

Everything you will need to make your own athame: instruction, use of tools, and all materials including a handmade blade blank. At the end of the weekend you will leave with your own hand-made athame in a hand made leather sheath. 

• Simple comfortable accommodations for sleeping (some beds and cots with padding)

• All meals included: Friday evening dinner, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, Saturday evening dinner, and lots of snacks. Ruth is cooking for y’all! Before the weekend she will contact you around food restrictions and needs. Reasonable dietary needs will be accomodated.​

·       Well-fitting cow hide leather gloves

·       Notebook

·       Safety Goggles

·       Sharp pocketknife

·       Disposable ear plugs

·       Tall white jar candle

We will let you know what to bring for the sleep over!

We will confirm your registration after receiving your deposit. You can make payments toward the balance in the weeks before the workshop with payment in full before August 12th.
